This is actually my first posting on here, so hopefully it will the work out for me.
Now a little about me I guess.... I am currently a flight attendant who works out of Atlanta, but I live part time in County Cork, Ireland and Gloucester, Massachusetts. Yes the infamous town of The Perfect Storm and the 17 some high school girls who got pregnant at the same time. I enjoy my time here and hanging with the love of my life.... my leprechaun. The leprechaun is a crazy Irishman, and we have such a great time just being homebodies most of the time. And of course we have our struggles, which you will hear about from time to time. And I may be biased, but he is the best man in the world.
I just got back last night from 13 days in Ireland. I would like to think that since my leprechaun has a house in Ireland, I have acquired that as well. We have plenty of work to be done to the house, but it is definately getting there. The last 2 weeks have been busy, the floors and the fireplace have been ripped out in the spare room, the garden has been burned off, and we finally got insulation blown in the cavity walls. But still so much to be done! I will be going back to the rock in about 11 days to paint, (inside and outside), plant my garden, and decorate the house. So a trip to Ikea Dublin is in store. But the best part of the trip is the fact that I am bringing back the boss to Boston, so my commute will become much easier for the summer. While I was there, we submitted our home for a makeover from Ikea, because we definately need it. With me working on the American Dollar, it doesn't go very far and the leprechaun is unemployed. We definately need storage, since our clothes are in kitchen cabinets and everything must be low enough for the leprechaun to reach them at wheelchair height. So we are keeping our fingers crossed we win!
A couple pics of the garden, before it gets finished
I love the view........
Our little Irish cottage
Our spare room that is a disaster!
The picture we submitted to Ikea to show the challenges of our storage situation. There are no closets in Ireland, and don't mind the mess, our cottage is going through renovations at the current moment, thank goodness we can close the cabinets.
